Scandic’s Largest Hotel Offers Exclusive Experiences
In the heart of Copenhagen, alongside the city’s canal and close to a wealth of experiences, the Scandic chain has opened its largest hotel to date.
With more than 600 rooms, five restaurants and bars, a spa and wellness area, and conference facilities, Scandic Spectrum offers a brand new type of hotel accommodation, where a good night’s sleep is accompanied by top-class facilities and a broad spectrum of experiences – from live music to gourmet cuisine and relaxation.
All of this with a focus on Nordic nature, environment and sustainability, as Scandic Spectrum is part of Denmark’s only Nordic Ecolabel-certified hotel chain.
The new hotel in Denmark’s capital city is designed by Dissing + Weitling, while design studio Space Copenhagen was tasked with the furnishing. HOLMRIS B8 has supplied all loose and fixed furnishings in the hotel.
Inviting Nature Inside
From the moment guests enter Scandic Spectrum, nature is in focus – from the lobby bar and lush courtyards to the room interiors, the hotel’s rooftop bar and the gourmet restaurant on the sixth floor. Bar tables in marble are combined with large windows that invite the surrounding marine environment into the rooms.
Concrete and steel contrast with the warm wooden floors, while the organic contours of the furniture in wood and velvet soften the look, bringing warmth and hygge to the rooms.
HOLMRIS B8 custom-designed some of the fixed furnishings for the hotel. Loose furnishings, such as all lamps, tables and chairs, are from HOLMRIS B8’s own collection, Labofa, Fredericia, Hay, &tradition and Mater, among others.
Scandic Spectrum opened in June 2022.
