Implement Consulting Group, Aarhus

Workplace design that tells a story

When Implement Consulting Group decided to relocate to TRÆ in Aarhus, Holmris B8 became their partner for furniture, service tasks and relocation. In close collaboration with interior architects Kasper Mose, Kasper Mose Studio, Spant Studio, and Anna-Carin Andersson, Christensen & Co., the goal was to create an office that combines creativity and responsibility, showcasing thoughtful design choices while upcycling and reusing existing furniture.

A thoughtful workspace
TRÆ is no ordinary building. Built with repurposed wood, upcycled lamps, and materials from old wind turbines, it offers an inspiring setting for innovative ideas. Implement wanted their office to reflect the building’s values with unique furniture solutions.

Implement worked with six key themes throughout the interior, where Holmris B8 helped find appropriate furniture to align with these themes:

  • Vintage restoration: Giving new life to classic designs through careful restoration.
  • Danish classics: Focus on classic, long-lasting design, where aesthetics and quality ensure a lifespan lasting generations.
  • Do it ourselves: Customized, hands-on furniture solutions.
  • Socio-economic responsibility: Pieces that support local initiatives and social causes.
  • Frontrunners: Innovative, forward-thinking products made with circular materials.
  • The future of the office: Flexible, practical furniture for a dynamic workplace.

A workspace that tells a story
The office is filled with thoughtful details that blend function and meaning. Quirky features like lamps made from pig intestines, colorful Neighborhood zones, and pieces from Holmris B8’s Recrafted Collection add personality and purpose to the space.

The office also serves as a learning space, with posters and signs explaining the benefits and challenges of upcycling and responsible design. The posters also included CO2e footprint allowing for transparent decisions to be made regarding furniture choice. Some key examples include:

  • OD50 chair by Erik Buch: A Danish design classic from 1957, restored through reupholstering and wood maintenance.
  • Storage units: Multiple pieces were upcycled, including redesigned units transformed into a “creative island” for the printer room.
  • Reupholstered soft seating and refurbished work desks: Sofas from Implement’s previous office were refreshed with new fabric and adjusted to fit the new layout. Work desks were given new life with Really tabletops, made from recycled fabric, and refurbished ‘sit-stand frames.
