Colorful Co-working Space for Women Entrepreneurs
In 2020, Mia Wagner and Anne Stampe – two businesswomen known from the Danish version of Shark Tank – started Nordic Female Founders with the aim of supporting women entrepreneurs in Denmark.
Now the company has opened the doors to a large co-working space, Female Founders House, in collaboration with Danish property and facility services firm Jeudan. The look of the new Female Founders House was designed by Jeudan’s own architects, Hjørdis Toft, while HOLMRIS B8 supplied all the loose furniture in line with Jeudan’s design proposal.
The fully renovated three-story building is situated on Bredgade in the heart of Copenhagen with a view of the landmark Marble Church. The goal has been to create a community where entrepreneurs – women and men, alike – can work, find new inspiration, gain access to investors and advisors, and establish new networks.
New inspiration and creativity
The 1500-square-meter Female Founders House takes the form of a large co-working space with 120 offices for entrepreneurs. The building also houses a shared reception area, lounge areas, meeting rooms and a yoga room.
The colorful and homey Scandi-Cool decor and abundance of greenery provide the ideal surroundings for inspiring creativity. The colors on the walls range from pale blue to deep green and subdued shades, while a winding staircase in bright blue connects the three levels. The furnishings strike a contrast between bright colors and warm wood, including liberal use of oak.
In the lounge area, for instance, there is room for informal networking at a series of round oak tables from &tradition, as well as a large area with steps in oak and soft cushions that invite you to sit with a cup of coffee and your laptop. The meeting rooms are furnished with conference tables from &tradition, Hay and Muuto coordinated to match the colorful walls, while chairs from Hay, &tradition and Engelbrecht in contrasting colors add to the inviting atmosphere.
Female Founders House opened in June 2022.
