Room for diversity
The Scandic chain is the first to have opened a hotel in the atmospheric Meatpacking district ‘Kødbyen’ in Copenhagen. It is – in every way – a usual hotel with room for diversity and an interior which matches the urban and cool surroundings.
On the floor you can’t miss the carpet that looks like marbled beef. Hooks from the butcher’s shop are used as coat hooks. There is a consistent use of iron, copper, and concrete. The style with strong butcher associations at the new Scandic Kødbyen Hotel offers the guests a surprising and authentic experience no matter if they drop in at the restaurant ‘Mør’ and eat a juicy steak, buy coffee at the ‘Coffee Box’, stay in one of the 370 rooms, or attend a meeting in ‘The Meeting Age’ which is the conference facilities at the hotel.
Customized solutions
The hotel’s concept and interior design is developed by Stockholm Koncept, while HOLMRIS B8 has delivered all loose and fixed furniture and interior to restaurants, lobby, conference facilities, and rooms.
In all rooms you’ll find customized headboards including nightstands made from cobber, lamps, and power plugs, wardrobe furniture, shelves, small and large desks, and mirrors. Everything is kept in a raw and simple design which emphasizes high quality and good craftmanship.
Due to the floor-to-ceiling height, some rooms have a bed loft which offers travelers with kids an extraordinary comfortable stay.
