Sluseholmen School

Flexible environments for engaged learning

Sluseholmen School, located in Copenhagen’s South Harbor, opened its doors in January 2024. The school offers modern educational facilities across five floors and 12,500 square meters, accommodating 840 students in three tracks.

Designed by JJW Architects and Thing Brandt Landscape and built by BAM Denmark, the building provides an inspiring framework for learning and well-being, featuring bright, open spaces filled with natural light. The interior design supports flexible learning environments and activities that connect students with the surrounding nature and harbor setting, earning Sluseholmen School the title of “Sluseholmen’s Green Urban School.”

HOLMRIS B8 supplied parts of the loose furniture and custom-designed furnishings in collaboration with the Municipality of Copenhagen and JJW Architects.
